We read the rave reviews and looked forward to a great family experience. We left with a question: what's the all the fuss about? The restaurant is a very plain road-side place in a less than attractive setting. It's certainly clean and sleek. As for the food....perfectly ordinary. The pizzas available in Grignan itself are as good, even if none of them can boast the variety that La Cicala offers. The much-praised pizza crusts were nothing special. We did, however, have an excellent side salad. Staff are polite if not particularly warm. Portions are very generous, the wine list is basic but fine, and the prices very reasonable. You can't go seriously wrong here, but it's frankly not at all what other reviews led us to expect.Thank you for sharing your opinion. We are not pretending to be the best or creating any fuss. Rates are based on each one experiences. I' m sorry your expectations were not fulfilled. You're more then welcome to come back and spend a better time .

After dining out for the previous few weeks on fine dining, an opportunity arose where we just wanted a simple meal while staying at La Garde Adhemar.The options were plenty for pizza, a wood fired oven was used and the service was great for takeaway.The locals were easy to talk with and had a beer while I waited for the pizza, chatting with locals.I think it is really a locals restaurant as you would have to travel too far to get it as a takeaway.We would go back any time. Prices were reasonable

This is a lovely little take away place with a few tables on the pavement that enable you to enjoy your choice of Pizza (out of perhaps 50 on offer) with a cold beer outside on a balmy summer's evening. I use it a lot when in the area on business. Madam Rouge, her husband and son run the place and are very friendly and welcoming!Great traditional thin crust Italian style Pizzas at an excellent price. Thoroughly recommended.

Excellent, friendly, good value, cosy and clean.My wife said this was the best pizza she had for a long time.I can not fault this restaurant, even the coffee was excellent. Staff were friendly, food was prepared very well and service was quick and efficient.
