We ate at the Balcon de Diego in February and the meals and service were excellent. I tried the Ceviche de pargo and a grilled fillet from the same fish - pargo (red snapper) and both were very well prepared and tasty. Their mojitos are great too! This was my second visit and will definitely re-visit again. Thanks for your comments, we hope to see you soon again.

We went here on our last day as we were excited that we had found an Indian restaurant in Havana. We had starters of onion bhajis with various sauces that tasted different but tasty so no disappointments there. Then the main course came 1 chicken Tikka masala and 1 vegetable paneer with 2 garlic naams. This is where it went downhill both dishes had no onions or peppers or anything else in and they tasted like Campbells condensed tomato soup.It was hard work to find a slight taste of curry in it.The bill came and with 2 bottles of very expensive water priced at 6 cucs the bill came to 45 cucs which I found extremely expensive for what we had.Incidentally do not buy there watery tasting mohitos from here as they cost 5 cucs each probably the most expensive in Havana. We have tried Indian food from all over the world and this has got to be one of the worst Needless to say when we got back to the UK we went to our local restaurant and ordered all sorts for a take away and it was less than half the price of this place and far superior.Sorry but you need to sample dishes from other countries to appreciate how much better they are.We thank you for your candid review and we are sorry that the experience was not up to mark.We shall immediately take action on this matter with the local manager and kitchen staff.Would appreciate if you could let us know the exact date you were at the restaurant.thank you

I was recommended this place by a local guide. Most of the reviews and recommendations for this place are by local guides so beware! The decor of those cafe is lovely: eclectic, interesting and done well. However, the food menu is very limited and there are no vegan or vegetarian options and most dishes have pork. after waiting 30 minutes for a seafood paella which never came I walked out. I had to ask several times where my food was but all they were interested in was chatting amongst the three of them and looking in the mirror. It might be better for nighttime drinks, but I don’t think I’ll bother.

Havana is not known for it's great food, however this restaurant is excellent. Great tapas style dishes or larger if you prefer and fabulous Daiquiris. You can either sit inside or outside on the lovely roof terrace. But the best thing about this restaurant is the service by the fantastic waiter, who is very friendly and attentive without being in your face. Very polite and helpful by recommending places to see and experience in Havana. This is a great place that I highly recommend to visit.
