Stopped for a bite, as we hadnât eaten and it was getting late in the afternoon. Saw this chip shop, parking space near by so easy safe stop. Crossed the road, which was quite quite, with little traffic, for a Saturday. It was about 3.30, and freshly fries goodies were just being removed to the display. Pick our favourites and retreated to the car. The fare was good, and the chips not greasy, and made from a tastie tatie, so I would recommend the Rooster for a nice basic eat.

The top place for fresh authentic pizza ....thin and crispy with generous quality toppings. The capricciosa pizza with a request to add brown anchovies is sooooo delicious and a firm favourite of ours. Chilli flakes and a drizzle of olive oil added if you wish. Prices are very reasonable. The hard working Italian couple making and serving the pizzas are such lovely people. We wish them every success...they deserve it.
