We did not stay at the hotel - which seemed very good - but we ate a number of times at Hi Life. The restaurant is a stones throw from the lake side and is an ideal spot for an evening or lunch time drink and meal. It is excellent value for money, the food is generous and whilst you may not all be served at the same time the overall service is delightful.Go for a stroll alongside the lake, take a boat trip and then relax in the restaurant afterwards. Its lovely.
éthio-french restaurant in Hawasa offering a varied and quality cuisine. having a beautiful terrace facing Lake Hawasa, you can enjoy the real buna ethiopian coffee, fresh organic fruit juices, traditional ethiopian dishes and French dishes and desserts.
I come here often for the chicken Shwarma and to enjoy a coffee and relax. The food in general is acceptable for the level of service found in Awassa (meaning keep your expectations low).I give it 4/5 stars due to the location!

Lewi seems to own half the hotel and cafe business of Awasa...Quite up and down in terms of what they have and the quality...Service is ok and location is good.To be on the safe side, go for the Ethiopian dishes if that strikes your fancy. Otherwise, pizzas are ok as well.

Went back to Venezia with an Ethiopian colleague and had a very good Italian meal washed down with copious amounts of Rift Valley Red. Great location, plenty of space between the tables and a menu that encompasses all palates, including those that need things from the 'fasting menu'! Pricier than most other restaurants in the area but still amazingly good value, for a very nice location.
