I came here with a collegue and it was a nice surprice in the middle of the small town of Hunfeld.Place is really german: tiny room with few table and the drink bar.I have eaten the pork Axe: very well cooked!! The dessert was quite big and nice as well: the warm apple with cinnamon was wonderfulOnly negative is that is not accepting the Visa card for payment, so get some cash before coming here.

Visiting family in the area, this place was recommended by our local family but also other family members who had previously come here.This is a family-run business they make organic sausages, cheeses, their own bread, jams etc etc. They have six guest rooms in a new (3 year old) house above their sausage storage room (you can see sausages aging through two windows - very cool). The rooms are nicely set up, clean, with a small bar fridge. Great modern bathrooms. Owners and staff are very friendly, for breakfast you are served their own cheeses and meats, buns and homemade jams. You do need to tell them the day before when you plan to be down for breakfast so they are ready for you, though the one morning we forgot, they scrambled and accommodated us just fine. We did not eat dinner here, though our family say they have very good dinners also (they are not open every night according to their literature, so check ahead before you come).This is a small small town, in an area with many historic Fachwerkhaeuser.
