Every now and then you find a place to eat that is truly special, where the food is great, the staff cares about you, a local funky joint with that true Austin neighborhood feel. Where you can bring the kids or or come out for date night with that special

This is our neighborhood restaurant. We use their rewards plan and get free food. Seafood gumbo is great, trout, shrimp in any dish, salads with chicken on top, a good chicken fried steak, all yum.. We avoid Thursday night zydeco music night because we want to talk to our friends. We have tried bread pudding all over and this is the best. They have a neat indoor/outdoor seating area. Rotating art exhibits are always interesting.

Not what I expected in a strip center! Quaint “Nawlins” atmosphere that is both adult and family friendly. Boudin and gator bites for appetizers—both were great! Rice and beans (with sausage) were incredible. Fried shrimp were done just right! Expect a crowd on nights and weekends. Not much room for waiting, and what they do have is outside. There is outside seating, but the space is shared with waiting guests!. It’s a little loud inside but, with the kids, that was probably a good thing!

Each time I go to a different location of this restaurant I am always amazed how each one presents well crafted meals.Seafood appears to be their specialty as well as very friendly service. Appetizers were great and salads. My wife had bacon wrapped shrimp that was amazing. Dessert menu was great too.Bourbon selection appeared to be a little weak but perhaps it was my waiter who didn't really know what they had. Maybe the only negative comment I would have is that their servers seem to be moving tables too quickly. I felt a little rushed but the waiter slowed down a bit once it appeared we were not out to be rushed.
