Surprised there were so few decent breakfast/brunch places in Midtown. Went by Johnâs and had a great time. Good typical diner experience. Food was fair to good. Eggs are (not sure why) very good. Fresh OJ! Decent sausage links. Smaller place but very efficient. Worth a visit!

The bagels were fantastic! The fillings too! They let me taste test a few before I decided. I ultimately went with Chipotle avocado on everything & blueberry on plain. I wasnt disappointed! Only wish I had more room for more goodies.

I went for a bagel and coffee and it cost me $18 something!! It was their special smoked salmon with cream cheese, capers and red onion and a double espresso with milk. I wonât go back, well I canât afford to. Spent my daily allowance of food at breakfastBy the way the bagel was great but the coffee didnât have enough milk, they let it sit for a few minutes because they didnât like the look of me, or something, and their attitude was crap

We arrived before they opened and there was a line. We ordered a smoked salmon platter and and some latkes. The latkes were thick and delicious. I make latkes but theyâre never that thick! The smoked salmon platter...heaven. We ordered the Ida. Yes itâs $85 but split amongst 4 people with unlimited bagels, it was a mighty good meal for the price. The Scottish salmon and the Pastrami cured salmon were my favorite but all 4 salmons were delicious. The pickled tomatoes and carrots were really tasty as well. Yes, get here early or expect to wait because the food is just that good.
