During our 1st visit we used a "Groupon-voucher" which means a discount of about 50 %.Sometimes you receive less quality when using this voucher. This restaurant did not, They have good quality meat, chicken is their specialty. Many parts of the chicken and many kinds of preparing. For a small amount extra you can have some pins with fish (3 kinds) and gamba's.Their salad, fruit excists from many different kinds as well.After finishing your meal, you may choose from ice cream bar. About 12 tastes are ready for you.I will end this review to inform everyone who will visit this restaurant that they have very clean toilets as well.To the manager I say: Till soon.

Wat een leuk rustpunt is dit. Gestart van af Castellum op weg naar Culemborg is dit een uitstekende plek voor een goeie bak koffie met eenheerlijk stuk huisgemaakt gebak. Ik kan de appel kruimel en de cheese cake van harte aanbevelen. Helaas waren de meeste kersen al van de boom.Allerhartelijkste ontvangst, lieve dames.Absolute aanrader.

Based on reviews here in TripAdvisor I went there for some seafood. We got a nice table by the window, the restaurants cat was resting in the window, very friendly and relaxed. I asked for âProeverij Het Zuiden â Several Fishfilletâ and my friend went for âDry Age Rib-Eyeâ. Both where very good, the service was excellent and atmosphere great on a Friday evening. Prices are reasonable.

The place has a nice location directly on the gracht/canal. Thatâs the positive. The food, we had two different burgers, was ok. Not great, not bad. The service was not good. There were several waiters who we saw during the evening. List of events:- sat outside, didnât see a waiter for the first twenty minutes. When we got the order in, drinks didnât get to us for another 15 minutes. One of the drinks was incorrect, and the correct drink arrived another 10 minutes later without any urgency. No apology, and the question whether the replacement order hadnât been expedited was met with a puzzled look and âno, we are busyâ rather than a smile or apology. - extra condiments were promised but never delivered.- neighboring party ordered drinks, and when they arrived asked whether they could place a food order, which was rejected by âI was told not to take any further food orders as we are busyâ. Question by the guests when they could order was answered âIâll go and askâ for the waiter to then not return at all. The service lacked Charme and any trace of professionalism. Not the quirky student type of a little dis-organized. For the service alone I would not return.
