We have been going to Merlion for many years. We would give it a solid 4 stars before but our recent visit to the new location was a definite 5. They expanded their cocktail listing and with some suggestions from the server I got a really good drink. They also have a HUGE list of wines by the glass - basically any bottle from their long list. I have a feeling that may not last but will see. So we also had some nice wine with our dinner. The menu was basically the same but on this Saturday night it definitely was working well in the kitchen and better food than we had in the past. The new location is big and spacious. The bar is huge. Server did a great job and was very knowledgeable about the food.

Stopped on a whim & pleasantly surprised by the outstanding food and wonderful service! Wonton soup was flavorful with large wontons, Moo Goo Gai Pan was delicious & hubby loved his chicken in garlic sauce...but the Vietnamese egg rolls we, by far, the best Iâve ever had! Only thing that could make it better was if they were served with fresh cilantro.

We live in the area and done here regularly. We have traveled throughout Asia and find this food to be on a level with the authentic Chinese restaurants that we encountered there. We have dined here on many occasions and have never found the food to be lacking. This is a great local Chinese restaurants run by very good people and the food and service reflect that.

Decided to finally go to this restaurant and so glad we did, Great service, Place is clean. Hubby had the Pho and loved it. Spring rolls and egg rolls so good. We will be going more often now. What a gem and very reasonable.
