Garrucha is a municipality of Almería province, in the autonomous community of Andalusia, Spain. Garrucha is a seaport of south-eastern Spain on the Mediterranean Sea and the right bank of the river Antas. In 1998 the town had a population of 5000. The harbor of Garrucha, which is defended by an eighteenth-century castle, affords shelter to large ships, and is the natural outlet for the commerce of a once thriving agricultural and mining district. Garrucha had, at the beginning of the twentieth century a considerable trade in lead, silver, copper, iron, esparto grass and fruit, but now the only export from its harbour is gypsum mined in Sorbas, with a million metric tonnes being exported annually . Besides cargo ships, the port is home to a small fishing fleet and has approximately 300 moorings for leisure boats.

Service here was fab. Seated straight away,drinks order taken n delivered straight away. Food order taken immediately after drinks were delivered and within a matter of minutes our starters were delivered to the table. Plates are cleared quickly and main meal on the table within no time. Didnât stay for dessert as starter n main filled me to the brim but saw some and they looked good. Will definitely be returning here but do have a downside to it,I ordered noodles and they came with prawns in them so not good if like me,you donât like seafood or are allergic to it as thereâs no mention of prawns so be careful if you have allergies âºï¸

went for the experience as had only been to an indian restaurant a couple of times before,opted for the menu of the day 3 courses for 12.95 euros very good value,plenty of options to choose from.I had chicken madras just the right amount of bite,they will make it stronger if required,all dishes are freshly served and well presented with a very pleasant service and nothing is too much trouble for them.My wife doesnot like the smell of curry so the chef came out and discussed what he could do for her,she had korma with chicken and thoroughly enjoyed it,thankyou chef it was much appreciated,certainly would recommend people try this restaurant,they do have an extensive menu as wellThanks Roy for the valued review. It s good to know that you enjoyed yourself at our restaurant and even better that the other half enjoyed her meal considering the small of curry isn't her favourite! Visited Mountains of the Moon twice on our recent visit to Mojacar after visiting for the first time last year. The food was extremely tasty and well worth the money paid. The chef came out to check that we enjoyed our food which was very much appreciated. The host was very accommodating and was happy to share her recommendations (of which were tasty). I don;t usually like naan breads but the cheese naan was delicious. Thankyou again for two wonderful meals. See you again next year!

We were driving away from Garrucha and happened upon this place.Excellent food and very competitive pricing.If you are ever in the area a visit is a must.
