The food is amazing, no matter what you choose, with even plentiful vegetarian and some vegan options while the beer selection is quite large for just a restaurant.The staff is very friendly and professional. The wait is a bit longer, so don't think that you've walked into a fast food place, even if their burgers are featured on every table around you.Reservations not needed, but highly recommended, especially around lunch and dinner time.Prices may be a bit on the high side, relative to its location, but it's well worth it.

Went there with my girlfriend on Labor day when all other restaurants were closed. Absolutely loved it! Definitely recommend burgers which are delicious. Really a hidden gem in the home town. Expected more from food, but good selection of craft beers, especially Bevog. Perhaps I should try regular burgers (as other guests mostly did), but we had Deetz Duo chicken (nothing special) and pulled pork burger (better, but still average). Anyway, menu is wide, next time will try other offerings. Staff is nice.

"Stari Hrast" is a cult BBQ restaurant in Čakovec. With legendary burgers, pizzas and bbq ribs adjacent to the restaurant is their own brewery "Lepi Decki" and a brew pub that works from 6:30 to midnight on all days.

We visited two times this week. Both times we were met with very good service even though the first night was their busy quiz night and we didn't have any reservations. The food is good and plentiful, and at what we consider very affordable costs. We tried grill plates, burgers, Bosnian burgers, pizza sandwich, ribs and the different appetizers. The only thing we didn't find very good value for money was the hedonist Burger, which was pretty expensive compared to the rest of the menu. The beer is homemade and very good, the radler is even better. And again... Very good serviceSeven satisfied Danes x2Thank you Klaus!
