On a recent trip to Santa Coloma de Farners, we stopped here for lunch on our way to our hotel. We were impressed by the concept of this store/restaurant. They had local and eco products for sale in the front, and then past the store was a restaurant. There were items on the menu like burgers and tapas, but you could also choose the salad/soup buffet. There were 2 soups available when we were there, beet soup and pumpkin soup. Both were incredible! There was a salad bar as well that had tons of fresh ingredients so you could make your own salad. We chose the salad/soup menu and it was unlimited. The menu also included wine or beer. Everything was of high quality and local. The price was good and we really enjoyed our meal. We dined here one evening whilst staying at the Mas Sola near by.FoodThe food was excellent, although portion sizes were a little small. The menu could be requested in English, and there were plenty of dishes to choose from. There was also a large selection of drinks, including many different beers.ServiceThe service was first class. A very friendly owner served us, as did a waiter who spoke no English. Both were very attentive, and nothing was too much trouble.LocationThe location of this restaurant may put some people off, but believe me, it is perfectly ok. It seems to be in a converted industrial unit on a housing estate. Although it sounds odd, when inside, it is decorated and designed tastefully, and is actually a smart place to dine. Parking is also very easy, practically right outside the restaurant.Overall, a definite recommendation. Went with the seven of us, including two kids. A place in the middle of nowhere, by the local public pool. It serves a very easy going range of food, some tapas, but mainly hamburgers, and grilled meats of which the main selection is pork. A good selection of beers is also available. Good tasty simple food with perfect attentive and quick service. Paid about 100 euros for all seven of us including drinks and deserts.
