Lunch with family on a Friday evening. We had two kids with us one of them being two years old so it is nice there were crayons and colouring sheets.However we waited 50 minutes for food and this is after complaining twice! So it wouldâve been longer!The food that did come was a mixed bag. Some food arrived stone cold, some very dry and some perfectly fine. The server was happy to quickly reorder the cold dishes and bring hot ones. As for the dry chicken... we were super hungry by then so ate it! The server was lovely and so apologetic. I feel sorry for them as they canât help the speed of the kitchen. Maybe they need more kitchen staff in busy periods? Little disappointed as I came here a year ago and it was brilliant. On a good note tonight the chips and sweet potato fries were yummy!We didnât have time for pudding because of the wait for the dinner! Not sure if I will return to the Ashford branch.

Never been before, was taken by a customer for a business lunch. My two fellow diners had Ciabattaâs, one with BBQ meat, not sure about the other. I chose the burger with extra cheese. When their food rocked up it looked great and I got the usual âfood envyâ, however I neednât have worried my burger was excellent, very tasty and not stacked so high that you couldnât eat it! My fellow diners were similarly impressed with their choices. We were all particularly impressed with the skin on fries. I didnât drink but could see there was a good selection of beers. The service was good too, and a smiling waitress always makes that little bit of difference. When the bill came I was delighted, great value!I wonât recommend a dish as they all looked great and Iâm sure youâll be delighted with your choice

Thirty minutes after our order was taken a burnt pie was presented to me. Not dark brown but burned black. I was offered a replacement but as I was very hungry and did not want to risk waiting another thirty minutes I declined. The vegetables included "mange-tout" peas; they were not mange-tout, they were mature, large peas served in their stringy pods. I am amazed that anyone calling themselves a chef would let such a meal out of the kitchen.
