I usually stop here if my connection between Shinkansen and bus to Hakuba is not smooth. It's close to the station, (opposite side from bus stops, but still convenient) the old guys making and serving can be amusing. The quality of fish is pretty good for the price.

An experience difficult to describe. We sat mesmerized by the authenticity of this multi hundred year old traditional eating house. Delicious variety of local dishes. Huge selection of Regional Sake and Beers. Helpful staff with some English. Don't miss this. Nothing like it. Step back in time.

We went here on a thursday night, the place was half full. Staff is very friendly and they have an English menu. We sat at the counter. The sushi is reasonably priced and of good quality! We ended up with a tower of 20 plates next to us. They scan the plates and add up the prices to make your check.Would definitely go here again for a quick dinner.
