My wife, young boys, and I had dinner at Las Ranas, which is a small, stand-alone restaurant located inside of an artesanal market. It’s approximately three or four blocks off the main square, directly across the street from the Cuetzalan cultural museum and what looked like a nice coffee shop. The food at Las Ranas was very good, the portions were sizable, and the prices were quite affordable (250 pesos for the four of us). I highly recommend the empipianadas con pollo (chicken enchiladas in pipián mole). I saw on the menu that they also serve breakfast.
