With a population of 26,672 (1 January 2014), Svendborg is Funen's second largest city. In 2000 Svendborg was declared "Town of the year" in Denmark, and in 2003 it celebrated its 750th anniversary as a market town. By road, Svendborg is located 195 kilometres (121 mi) southwest of Copenhagen, 183 kilometres (114 mi) south of Aarhus, 44.2 kilometres (27.5 mi) south of Odense, and 28.5 kilometres (17.7 mi) east of Faaborg.

We visited Restaurant Borsen twice, one day for their Brunch and another to have a burger. This is more like a large pub, decorated from the 80's. Service - 4 - We had the same waitress for both days, friendly service, fluent in English. The food took a little bit longer than anticipated on the second day. Food - 4 - The Brunch we chose consisted of typical breakfast sausage, bacon, excellent scrambled egg, potato wedges, fruit, yoghurt, pancakes and syrup, bread. Plenty of tasty variety for everyone. Our burger on the second day was very good.Value - 4 - The brunch was 155 Kr, Which is a very good price for the amount of different mini breakfasts we received. The burger was 115 Kr. Both very good, fair prices. We are likely to visit again when in Svendborg.

In town on business, I was drawn in by the craft brewery sign and the warm welcoming glow. Settled into a corner table, the waitress kindly helped to translate the menu (quicker than google translate!) and helped to choose a delicious seasonal brew or two. A bit expensive but a really delicious meal, and a beautifully casual aesthetic.

Var her til aftensmad, da det var uden for feriesæsonen skulle der bestilles forud. Traditionel mad. Havde øl fra det lokale microbryggeri.
