But do expect tasty food, reasonably priced. Family members are helpful and friendly. Falafel wrap was very good, especially with the addition of more "special" sauce. The falafel plate with 2 choices of appetizer was equally as good; serving size was more than adequate. As to the seating area, it's tucked away from the grocery store with tables close together. Outside seating parallels the main road and appears to be dusty and loud. Happened by on our way back from vacation thinking we'd get a grinder at a nearby restaurant before deciding to give Dunya a try. Glad we did! We will return.

My wife and I split an order of afghani lamb chops and spicy lentil dal. The chops were very nicely seasoned with spices that we couldn't readily identify. The dal was very spicy, and I love spicy food. Our meal was served with a very generous helping of basmati rice and a salad with no dressing but lots of cucumbers and tomatoes. Our son wasn't feeling very adventuresome and had pizza which he liked. He also ate half of our rice. I tried a honey basil drink with tapioca pearls. It was delicious! The menu reflected Afghanistan's proximity to the Pakistan/India sub-continent as well as Middle Eastern influences. It even had a small section of dishes specifically labeled Pakistani. They also offer the aforementioned pizza, as well as burgers, and nachos so you can still come here if you have less adventurous eaters in your group. The service was very slow in terms of bringing menus and water, taking our order, and bringing the check but that may very well be cultural. We Americans tend to rush. We needed to be someplace after dinner so I ended up searching for the wait staff to pay our bill. That said, we won't hesitate to return when we have more time available.

Each month we try to get together and try a new place for lunch - or dinner — this month was Lebnani Restaurant in Watertown Ct. it’s small but comfortable in the way it was set up. We put two tables together and were in a corner - so as to not bother other patrons we tend to talk a lot. Food was very good- and large portions and the wait time was not long at all for the food to arrive — we had the stuffed grape leaves and Canadian poutine (FF with gravy and cheese) along with there battata ( diced potato salad - and house salads—-as a start - only I had lentil soup — all very tasty and filling ! We ordered the beef shawarma beef wrap and chicken rice bowls and chicken shawarma with tomato’s and onions over rice dinners and a combo platter #3–chicken and beef shawarma over rice — all were huge portions and we all took some home —for lunch at work tomorrow we all had a great time — and will return again to try other menu items. You should give it a try if you are on the area and want to try some authentic Lebanese food
