I'm not a fan of American restaurants in Italy. They are usually very bad imitations of food so foreign to them that the result is an insult to the original. With this in mind I reluctantly accepted the invitation of a close Italian friend to dine there. To say I was surprised would be an understatement, as I was simply blown away by the sheer authenticity of the place and the spot on American food. The hamburgers could rival any gourmet burger stateside as well as the corn on the cob, salads, steaks and chicken. The atmosphere is just a feast for the eyes, a history lesson in diner culture and music from that era. Colorful, sunny, spacious and a real treat. Not all restaurants in this chain are as good. This is the best American food I have ever had in Italy.
