We were looking for Sushi and we found it. It was creative fusion-style sushi and it was WONDERFUL and the service was spectacular! The waitress was warm friendly and personable. What a change from the normal Torre del Mar restaurants. We will definitely return and try other foods in ADDITION to more sushi! Keep up the wonderful service. Your waiter and waitresses are the best!!

Our second visit to this restaurant, once for lunch, once for dinner. Fixed price and eat as much as you want BUT this was not a help yourself buffet. You choose from a list of small dishes (mostly sushi, rice, noodles etc. but also tempura veg, salmon, other dishes and chips for the kids!) and the food is prepared for you. Plenty of veggie dishes. Just keep on ordering until you have had enough. Food is nicely presented, really tasty and fresh. Service is friendly, patient and helpful: English spoken. We had beer and juice with the meal, which were not hugely overpriced. Kids under 5 are free and older kids half price.The only thing to be aware of - and it does state this on the board outside the restaurant - VAT is not included in the stated price, so the bill will be bigger than anticipated. There is also an a la carte section at additional cost, but we didn't need this.For those critics who say this is not a "real" Japanese restaurant - I have visited various cities in Japan over a number of trips and found that quite a lot of authentic Japanese food may not be to European tastes - definitely not to mine (some of it great, some of it totally revolting!). I think that the Sakurai is run by non-Japanese people and this is a Spanish family seaside town, so if you want real Japanese go to Shinjuku, but if you want a tasty, inexpensive meal in pleasant surroundings give this a try,.
