This Restaurant was recommended to us while we travelled around Zwiesel by a friend. Original place and atmosphere, we had Caesar salad, Vegan burger and Saibling. All fresh food, which we accompanied by recommended wines. It is nice to see a place where they are not using frozen food and preparing everything themselves. Prices are fair and balanced. This is a delightful restaurant in a beautiful setting. We visited in a large group, but the food was still very, very good. If you are visiting the area, this is definitely the restaurant to visit for great food.

This restaurant had a distinctly Bavarian feel to it (perhaps not surprising considering the location). We enjoyed the cozy bench seating available throughout the periphery of the restaurant and the dark woodwork. Service was prompt and attentive. My husband had a meat dish in a root vegetable sauce that he found delicious. I had a meal salad with thin sliced pork that was more than I could easily finish! We appreciated the "tight" menu. They aren't trying to do too much here. Just trying to do a dozen or so Bavarian dishes well. Though not a regional specialty we also were glad that chicken nuggets were available for our two children :)
