We went here after reading the trip advisor reviews and our pousada host suggestions. I am not a heavy or regular drinker however this place has interesting displays and great tasting cachaça and flavored liquors. The displays include a still that is still in use and a Japanese garden with a koi pond. Cachaça is Brazil's national alcoholic concoction. Grocery stores sell stuff good enough for caipirinhas but the artisan versions are really better. The liquors include anis, red fruit, piqui (a local fruit), banana, pineapple and 4 types of creamed liquors. The creamed version of chocolate and coffee is really good. We bought bottles for ourselves and others. The rabanada (brown sugar) ice cream sandwhich is also a new taste treat.Note: avoid visiting with a tourist bus. We had just finished our tasting when two buses arrived. It was not the same after that!
