Hace una semana fui con un amigo a comer, fue un lunes... Y las gratas sorpresas fueron muchas.. cordialidad, explicaciones de la carta.. por que aunque sea "menudita" tiene una "explosión de platazos".La carne hecha en horno ...comimos un chuletón al punto.. tremendamente exquisito!!! Hay más platos pero es que.. era espectacular!.. me gustaron los salones.. me gustó.. la calma con la que se puede comer y por supuesto repetiré!!! Gracias por la cordialidad y agradecimiento por todo.

Selected the place based on TA recommendation and it was right. The facilities are not glamorous but the food was excellent and the service better yet. We had fresh artichoke roasted with Serrano ham, Parmesan flakes and Romanesque sauce as an appetizer and âChuleton de vaca gallegaâ (charcoal grilled T bone steak) that was just properly cooked. The grill master came out to greet us and the waiter/ barmen were excellent. A great experience

So with only one night in Salamanca we wanted something really nice. Found this on another site recommended as not a tourist trap but good quality food. Good menu with a choice of full meals or tapas. We would have tried the roast kid for two but you need to order this in advance. The waiter recommended both the suckling pig and lamb. So we had both. Really large portion so don't go overboard with a large starter. Beautifully tender meat accompanied by a few potatoes and salad. Very good choice of wine and again a knowledgable recommendation when our first choice was available. Deserves to be much higher in the listings. Worth a try.
