I honesty can not say enough great things about this restaurant. I usually don't do reviews unless it's over the top. DELICIOUSNESS. I guess it's just because I'm not the type to say bad things and unless I am really impressed with a place I will simply because it makes it easier Also, I am only on the hunt for certain types of cuisine in my travels.. German, Thai, Sushi and occasionally Greek. Soooo here goes: I Have to start with our incredibly sweet waitress Lori, she was just so nice and pure. She helped us choose when we couldn't, and was spot on with everything. Just a genuine sweetheart. Thanks again LoriOn to the food, Im telling you ...do not miss this restaurant!! We were traveling in our RV and decided to check out Sanibel. Our RV park was in FT Myers and we planned on staying one or two nights... Well we ate at Heidi's, and decided to stay longer so the wonderful chef/owner could prepare us our favorite German dish SCHWEINSHAXE (PORK KNUCKLE).Honestly it was the best we've had since having it in Germany. These folks are the real deal...Best pretzels...Best sauerkraut... best red cabbage... best potato pancake... best Sauerbraten... Best Bier...the list goes on!!! Needless to say went back two more times for a total of 3 in 6 days!!!!Thank you again to Axel and Heidi for the absolute best German food EVER and the Best hospitality!!!!! We will definitely be back I wish we lived closer!

Tonight, we absolutely enjoyed a delicious meal of Schnitzel and Beef Gulasch!!! My wife adored the "Balkan" and my "Jäger" was perfect. The Scnitzel is crisp-fried, tender and the perfect thickness; definitely not those thin, dried-out things we have had elsewhere. My daughter is a bit picky (dogs and burgers). Surprisingly, she enjoyed the Beef Gulash and is looking forward to returning soon for more. The apple strudel is a must, and the black forest is over the top. We had a very tasty breakfast at the Beach Cafe. The coffee was great. Our food was made to order right in front of us. The cook/waitress/owner was very personable. She helped us each decide on the perfect crepe breakfast. I didnât even know how yummy a crepe breakfast burrito can be! It was served hot. The others eating breakfast were very friendly, too. It makes us wish we lived nearby so we could be regulars, too!
