Traditional Lakeland gastro pub. Great Real Ales (CAMRA accredited). Fine range of wines plus beers, spirits, soft drinks. Stunning 'chef and daily specials' compliment the extensive menu of starters, mains and desserts. Same menu throughout. Full 14 alle
A small group of us had pre-booked three tables for a Sunday evening. Restaurant was really busy but the waiting staff were helpful, friendly and very efficient. Food arrived quickly and was very good. Great atmosphere and buzz without being noisy. Would recommend.Hi Jude and thank you for your kind words. It's lovely to hear that you enjoyed everything that is the Pheasant Inn....great atmosphere, efficient friendly staff and really good food, not to forget real ales, beers and wines. Having had numerous meals here over recent years this was very poor. Anaemic chips, small portions, nothing that we ordered was homemade, salads drenched in sweet dressing, slow to arrive, insufficient staff to cope with the number of diners, .....just poor all round. The food was VERY DISAPPOINTING. We wonât be back, there are plenty of other establishments to eat just a few miles away that we can spend £100 on!

This is our normal place for lunch in Keswick and we must go about 8-10 times a year. Food has always been good but I'm afraid something went very wrong this time! We had the pie chips and mushy peas as a change from the standard menu and it was very poor. Both pie and gravy had an odd taste and the chips were potato wedges which were only partly cooked. It seems that standards are slipping (change of chef?) - time to go elsewhere I'm afraidThanks for taking the time to review your visit.Iâm sorry to hear your visit wasnât up to the level you would normally expect. As always our dishes are freshly prepared on site and thereâs been no changes in our kitchen team. The menu we have has been available since April and has proved extremely popular. Iâm sorry if we didnât achieve your expectations and I hope youâll take the opportunity to visit again.Kind regards
