My husband and I were passing through Bosnia to go from Plitvice to Dubrovnik via Mostar. We chose to stay in Livno purely because it was in between Plitvice in Croatia and Mostar. The hotel (Hotel Dinera) recommended Baccuss, and they were very good with their recommendations.Whilst the waiter only spoke a little more English than we did Bosnian, we communicated well and it helped that the menu was in both Bosnian and English, so we could just point at the food we wanted. I ordered steak wrapped in bacon with a side of homemade gnocci, and my husband had the Herzagovnian Pan - a mixture of vegetables, pork, mushrooms and roasted thin sliced potatoes all in a big saucepan.The beef was divine - medium rare, tender, juicy, and the gnocci was the best I've ever had. My hubby enjoyed his meal too.The bill came to 37 KM - about £14.50. I left a 50 KM (about £20) note as in the UK I'd have paid at the very least £20 for a bit of beef half the size of the one I got. So a whole meal for this price was outstanding, at least to my British point of view. The only minor negative point was that it took a while to get the bill but a large group and a smaller group had come in just after we finished.I'd really recommend this resturant to anyone visiting Livno.

The restaurant is furnished in an old fashioned way with very impressive and beautiful eye catchers like folk costumes and other traditional things which represent this country. Cosy atmosphere. Very friendly and professional waiters.
