Since the redevelopment of the Inner Harbor in the late 1970s, Baltimore has set the standard for urban renewal. While a good part of the city's action centers around the fun and festive Harbor area, where street entertainers, open-air concerts, fireworks and parades abound, the surrounding neighborhoods offer all sorts of interesting landmarks, unique shops and delicious restaurants. Wander around Fells Point, the oldest section of Baltimore, reminiscent of an old English village, complete with pubs and cobblestone streets. Take the kids to the aquarium and check out the imaginative creations at the American Visionary Art Museum. Or stop by the Babe Ruth Birthplace and Museum for an in-depth look at the Great Bambino's life. Baltimore is also renowned for its African-American heritage sites, plus festivals and cultural events that take place throughout the year. 8/6/19Riccardo, you did it again! You continue to WOW us with your creative Restaurant Week menu. You set the bar very high, and you never disappoint. It was such a pleasure to introduce our friends to Sotto Sopra. We came twice, for lunch and for dinner. Derick was our server for lunch. It is always so welcoming and such an attentive server. Our lunches were just amazing â delicious and beautifully plated. We enjoyed two Boston Lettuce Salads, Fried Calamari and P.E.I. Mussels â such a great start. Our main courses were 3 Honey & Lavender Salmons and your Omelet of the Day. We all agreed it was just the best lunch.8/12/19 Then we came back for dinner last Monday. Your staff is just the best. We were warmly greeted by Lindsay, Patrick and Dave. Dave took excellent care of us. We again brought friends who had never previously dined at Sotto Sopra. They were so impressed with the décor of the dining room, the quality of the food and the service we received. We started with two Goat Cheese Salads, a Caesar Salad and the Fried Artichokes. We were off to a delicious start. Our entrees were Creamy Carbonara alla Sotto Sopra, Short Rib Ravioli, and two Pollo Ripieno. For our sweet ending, we savored the Gelato and Sorbetto of the Day, Apple Strudel, and Mascarpone Cheesecake. We were all thrilled with our dinners - thank you so much for participating in Restaurant Week.

On one of my last nights in Baltimore--a windy, cold, blustery night, I wandered down the street from my hotel to pick up the take-out fare I had ordered from my hotel room. The service was impeccable, even for a take-out patron! The bartender offered a nice beverage while I waited, which wasn't long, and the food, when it came, was hot and plentiful. I had ordered a variety of dishes, covered my face as I trudged back to my hotel, and enjoyed a sumptuous feast of delightful, well prepared Turkish dishes, including doner kebab with kadayifi for dessert. Yum!

Tony Foreman and Cindy Wolfâs uptown eatery features classic French Bistro fare, an extensive, award winning French wine list & a lively Parisian atmosphere.
This is truly a world class French bistro. A richly flavored Vichyssoise started the meal. Then the richly garlic flavored escargots were swimming in a delicious sauce, ideal for dipping the excellent bread. I then shared the whole roast chicken for two. It was wonderful-perfectly prepared, juicy and tender. Excellent frites accompanied it. We followed this with a lovely selection from the cheese cart, and a sinfully rich chocolate pot de creme rounded off a memorable meal. Added to that is a pleasant, efficient, and very knowledgeable staff and you have a memorable meal. We thank you for joining us at Petit Louis Bistro and for taking the time to post such a kind and detailed accolade. Your compliments to Chef Scanga's cooking and to our knowledgeable service staff mean so much to us. We look forward to seeing you again soon!
