Shakes are amazing, the burgers were so good. Great service. Fries were hot and crispy. Wish I had not moved so that I could go back!

For my recent breakfast at Mathias I ordered what I always do; two eggs, hash browns, sausage patties, biscuit and coffee.. The food was prepared just the way I like it (eggs over easy, hash browns crisp) and the total I paid was just $5.97, including tax. Even after leaving a generous tip I paid amazingly little for this hearty breakfast. For this and other reasons, Mathias remains one of my favorite inexpensive eateries..

Youâll find this Waffle House to be pretty much the same as any other Waffle House youâve patronized. That is, if you enjoy the Waffle House dining experience/atmosphere, youâll enjoy the overall experience of dining here. You might want to avoid ordering the hamburger, though. The one I was served at this Waffle House during my recent visit featured a rather thin meat patty topped by a small, very thin slice of tomato, an undersized piece of wilted lettuce, and a few bits of chopped onion. Every burger joint in the greater Columbia area, including the Burger King next door to this Waffle House, serves a better hamburger in the four dollar price range.
