Easily the best restaurant I experienced in my time throughout Italy. My husband and I found this place on a win. We were driving to another restaurant when we drove by and impulsively stopped the car to give it a try. Wow did we find a gem! I traveled to Rome, Florence, and small countryside towns of Tuscany. Nothing was nearly as good as Il Tocco. The owner and chef was so passionate about the food and it was seen through the spectacular presentation and tasted in the amazing way all the flavors came together. The co owner also took the time to talk with his before, during, and after the meal showing his utmost appreciation for our patronage. I wish I could go here everyday not only for the quality food, but for the friendly and inviting atmosphere. If you are in Pisa you have to go here!

Had the ragu and the pasta with ricotta and eggplant. Lovely friendly service, price cannot be beaten (at â¬5 each). The pasta was cooked to perfection, however I found the sauce a too salty for my liking. Definitely worth a stop on the way back from leaning tower.

We were attracted by the good ratings. As a frequent traveller to Italy I shortly wondered about the casual place, but the menue told me that at this place there is decent knowledge of food an wine to be expected. And we were not disappointed. The proprietor, waiter and sommelier turned out to be a very pleasant person with deep passion for good food and even more good wine. Go for the degustation menue including wines. We started with a methode traditionell growing over 1000 m at mount Blanc and went through more special wine regions. The four course meal was very nicely composed and enjoyable until the dessert.
