Blau has a very varied menu. I recommend you do the half portion of the salads as the half is enough. I love the Mediterranean salad, beef tips, and all of the appetizers/tapas. The ambiance is warm, somewhat sophisticated yet casual.

We enjoyed dinner of sea scallops risotto and asparagus. The food was prepared with full flavor. Our server gave us her full attention and met all of our needs. The atmosphere is cozy and romantic. Our only complaint was the greeting we received from the hostess that told us that they had a full house in a couple of hours and "we should be done by then". This made us feel hurried so we did not order dessert there.

Restaurant and restrooms were extremely clean. Waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and made some excellent recommendations without being pushy. Came back to the table often to check on our progress. Had the Oriental Chicken Salad which was served in a timely order and was consistent with others that we had in other Applebee restaurants. Waitress asked if we wanted any desserts and gave us a go cup of the Peach flavored tea for the road. Prices were reasonable. The best we can say is "We'll be back".
