At first glance the menu looks a little 'corporate' but do persevere as there are some lovely offerings here. Good value and a nice setting for a quiet romantic evening.We very much appreciate your comments regarding your stay at the Mercure Angouleme Hl France. Revisit Chez Paul for the first time in five years. Was disappointed. We remembered it as a bit chic, white table clothes , professional servers and fairly good food It now has laminate topped tables, frenetic young servers and mediocre food.You choose your food from a picture book and believe me it is copious. None of the four of us finished our main course. Afraid its off our list.
