Reviews on Chinese food in Kiev, Ukraine. Having survived the Mongol Empire, WWII, Chernobyl, and Soviet rule, Kiev is the proud capital of the Ukraine. Filled with theaters, museums, religious sites, modern buildings and ancient ruins, the city of Kiev is the center of Ukrainian culture. The Monastery of the Caves, founded in 1015, and Saint Sophia Cathedral, founded in 1037, are both World Heritage Sites. The Museum of the Great Patriotic War, topped by the massive Motherland Statue, provides gorgeous views of the city below.

We walked in this restaurant without any reservations and were able to sit outside on a Saturday night in August. Good start !The entire menu looks delicious. The difficult part is to make a selection of what you will leave out as you can't try everything. We had:- Roll of shrimp and mango: Good and generous in shrimps- Roll of crab and avocado: Extremely good. Very good mix of flavors. Best dish of the evening.- Mongolian fried beef: very good, not spicy and very tender beef... not "fried" and hard as usual asian beef might be prepared in a wok.- Duck noodles: very generous duck pieces with a tasty sauceThe service was good throughout our time there. The outside seating area is very comfortable and enjoyable. Not too much noise as it is not giving directly on the street. The inside is incredibly beautiful and eye-catching.Definitely would recommend this place to everyone visiting Kiev and looking for a good dining experience.

Problem with coming from London is the quality of chinese food back home is such that the bar is high (not so the rest of the London offer that is terrible).I was given this address by another Asian rest in Kiev and off I went. More of a canteen than proper Chinese place, a totally unusual look. Nothing wrong with it, I guess the owners must have made some market research to attract the locals.I had a mix of dumplings and a bowl of beef and vegetables with a side of noodles.Beef and noodles arrived first which, as we all know, is the opposite of what chinese restaurants do. Dumplings are an entree, shouldn’t come last. And they were hard as well, a lot (7 pieces) but easy to eat. Dumplings should be softer, not hard.Beef was ok.With coffee and water I spent £10!!Thanks for the feedback.
