Always pleasant staff, good food and coffee. As you drive into Mutare, go LEFT at the traffic circle. Its on your left about 350m down. Turn left and left into the entrance. Safe, guarded parking. Simple menu, well priced. Haven't a bad word to say. Well worth a visit.

I arrived at Karen's and was happy to find free parking inside their lot, as council has turned all free parking spaces to paid parking. My brother and i sat down for a while and waited.....and waited. When we realised noone was coming to serve us we, asked a lady where we have to go to get served, at which she surprisedly asked that we hadnt been served yet, then she came to serve us. The tables appear to be made from tiles. The artisan who made them has a very poor finishing, and the white plastic chairs were visibly very dirty and stained. We waited a very long time forour meals and were given our beverages first. My chocolate milkshake came in a very white colour. i informed the waiter that i ordered a chocolate milkshake and not vanilla, at which he replied that it was chocolate flavoured. i tasted and it surely was a vanilla milkshake, my brother tasted it and confirmed it. it was taken back, and a chocolate milkshake came.when our food did arrive i was grossly disappointed! i had ordered a "deluxe burger and chips" and there was nothing deluxe about the burger, well maybe teh only deluxe item about it was the price. It was a proton roll bought of the shelf, a poorly uneven incomplete slice of raw onion, a slice of tomato and a patty that was not juicy nor dry, not tasty and not fully cooked. It was quite bland to say the least. my brothers coffee milkshake also made a return trip to the kitchen as the order was not as ordered. during my meal, a couple of flies flew into my milkshake. i asked for a replacement and was told i would have to pay for a replacement!! your establishment, your flies but my bill - how sad. The chocolate was dismal too. dry, crumby and the cream, well..... it just did not taste nice.i was bitterly disappointed
