Our first visit to First Watch met our expectations for a great brunch. Never heard of this restaurant until I searched for "best brunch in Rockville." Although we got "in line" on their app, our estimated seating time was delayed by about 15 minutes. Next time we'll factor this in. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, evidenced by a high volume of lively chatter. The service was prompt and pleasant, the food was generous and tasty, and the price was fine. We'll be back...and we'll bring friends.

Tomato soup was pretty sharp tasting; quite acidic. The chicken panini was only grilled on one side, and there was only like 4 spinach leaves on it; quite sparse. There are other items I would like to try, so I will be back, but I hope the next items I order are better tasting!!

Their soups, salads, and sandwiches are all very very tasty...as of course are their INCREDIBLE selection of yummy pastries. But what I take my family & friends there for is their Country French Breakfast...I mean...Wow is that ever tasty and filling, and at just the right price. Plenty of nearby parking in garages, a bit of a tight fit to try to get a wheelchair in the bathroom...but the décor is so nice (especially when the fire place is lit), and their bread-butter-jam is just tasty as can be. That alone is a worthy reason to go (and the nearby restaurant row and park is a beautiful place to stroll and do some window shopping). If you know where Rio is (awesome lake & restaurants, great for a walk), La Madeleine is in the new section built behind it (close to the Navy Federal Credit Union). Enjoy a tasty treat.
