I took my wife there for her birthday! We had a traditional victorian tea. The waiter bent over backwards to give exemplary service. We had a variety of sandwiches. We had scones with real clotted cream along with empire cakes, scottish shortbread and fern cakes. There is a huge selection and variety of teas available. Also there are a variety of homemade traditional english hot meals available. Please do yourself a favor and go there!!

We visited this pub with a group of about 20 friends. After we were seated (in a hallway) it took over 20 minutes before the waitress even suggested a pre-meal drink. I have been in lots of pubs and the service has always been more attentive. We both ordered the fish and chips--supposedly with coleslaw--the fish was fine but the salad was nothing more than a small coloured garnish!!! It wasn't that we just landed on the doorstep--we had a reservation from the previous day. Needless to say we won't return.Hi. We value your business and we're sorry to have let you down. Nothing else to say...just love and drinks!!!...place is extraordinarily tired and in desperate need of some sort of reinvestment, but it is the best atmosphere, for both young and old in Markham...patio is nice too!!!
