Mid-week lunch with good steak pie, flaky pastry and well cooked fries.. The downside was that the vegetables were boiled to death and tasteless. The curry was much appreciated but the service was prefunctory and unwelcoming. Not sure I would go back.gobsmacked to read this boiled to death veg unwelcoming service ??? really sounds like somewhere else . if this was the case then were sorry
Saturday night visit for pizza and a couple of pints. Had to prebook a table to make sure of a seat. Place was very busy and we were told we would have to wait 45 minutes for food.Asked for all food to come together as we were sharing a pizza, salad and some chicken wings. Food arrived on time and was excellent. Only down-side is that brewdog dont serve Jet Black Heart anymore.

A group of us were here recently for a late lunch. The large and airy room was sparsely populated and we were quickly ushered to a table by the very friendly and attentive staff. There's a very varied menu with typical staples such as fish and chips, meats, omelettes, burgers and vegetarian options such as tortes and pasta dishes. The food we had was high quality but.... although the meats at the carvery were tasty and moist, the accompanying vegetables had been sitting for way to long and were dry and chewy. I suspect there just weren't enough people coming through to keep it turned over enough. Shame.
