Het Pakhuis is originally a pub, but is serving food as well, just like an English pub. The interior is nice, a fireplace and lots of old portrait photos. The menu is not extremely extensive, but everyone can find something they like. We ate a round steak, very well prepared, a fish-of-the-day (salmon and sea bass) and spare ribs. Good food, well prepared. It was accompanied with a fresh salad and fries.The wine was nice (merlot). The desserts (merengue and home made brownies) were delicious.The servants (owners) were friendly and polite.

Lovely waterside setting, it's a pity it was a blustery February evening.However the interior did not disappoint either, it had great high ceilings, exposed wooden floors and spacious tables.The food was stunning, and the staff were lovely and helpful.

Wijk bij Duurstede is a typically lunch village for the senior citizens, motor bikers and cyclist. If you do not belong , you really feel out of place. Florian serves good lunches. The owner and staff make you feel welcome. Everything is homemade (excluding fries). We ordered the classic club with lavish chicken, egg and bacon. Great taste. The croquettes with white bread were very good. THe fries are really superb. If you are in Wijk bij Duurstede .. have lunch here!
