Chris has been working hard, and has a petting room and 5 star accommodation for his rabbits...kids love it and they get a dish of carrots to feed the rabbits. He has butterflies in all life stages so great for kids learning. Some very stunning colourful butterflies too...they don't get active till the day heats up. Great place to stay the night, or just stop for a meal.

Batchelor General Store is located in the heart of Batchelor Town Centre. Pick up everyday necessities and quirky memorabilia. We also have a take away right next door serving small bites, fresh sandwiches, burgers, fish, chips and salads.

Prices are pretty much what you expect in a small town. Most meat is frozen and good selection. Fruit and veggies offer a reasonable selection too. We had a coffee from the take away which seemed popular but it was a little weak to my taste.

Great location. Nice staff. Quite in wet season. Our room really should have had a quick dusting and insect removal before we went in. Smelt a bit musty. Shower and kitchen all fine. Bed comfortable. No food served on site. Batchelor has good food places and it's only 13 km away.
