When it comes to rating small town restaurants, I have more than adequate expertise. Lewis Cafe is as good as it gets. There are a certain number of required standards, and LC checks all the boxes. LC has dinner plates, breaded pork tenderloin sandwiches, hand breaded onion rings, homemade pies and hand dipped milk shakes. The menu is complete, I only wish we had more occasions to be in the area. Itâs off the highway a bit, but thereâs no backtracking as you get back on the highway at the next exit. Thereâs plenty of street parking and a surface lot across the street. Follow your GPS.

Restaurant phone number: 636-629-3636. They do not have a website yet.
The spaghetti & meatballs was a very good dish. Sauce wasn't from the bottle. I think it had just a touch of cayenne to give it some sparkle. Wonderful. Garlic bread came with the meal and was delicious as well.Ice tea tasted like it was from a mix and not brewed.Only downside was when people in the bar lit up and the smoke went into the sit-down area of the restaurant. I thought those days were over, but I guess they are still here in Missouri.

Ordered a burger...costs a bunch too...came out on a small plate, two patties and a bun...thats it...bun is cheap industrial bread, burgers where not at all worth the price...have been there for breakfasts a few times and those are hit or miss...one time the food is ok the other it is as if they want you to leave and not come back ever again, the food being a warning not to return. service is usually ok but they do seem to go through waitresses with a measure of regularity...its not on my place any more for possible places to eat out nor would i bring anyone there unless i was trying to sever a relationship with the individual....sorry, but you guys did this to yourself...such potential turned into such a loss...
