Laguna Canyon Winery

Marlowe J.J. Huber grew up on a remote ranch in southern Saskatchewan, Canada. The small community of 178 was dominated by grain farming and ice hockey. Learning from his father, he grew a deep appreciation from working and nurturing the land. He ventured west to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada to meet his mentor, Gianni Seminari, oenologist and winemaster from the University of Milan, Italy. After crushing grapes for two years under the tutelage of Gianni, Marlowe began to source and crush his own grapes employing his new learned Italian winemaking techniques. This led to Orange County's first Urban Winery established in 2003. Premium grapes are selected from select Napa and Sonoma vineyards and transported to Laguna Canyon for processing. Crushing, fermentation, pressing, barrel aging, blending and bottling all take place on site. We offer award winning crafted wines, tasting room, wine club, corporate events, private parties and team building events.

Quiet spot to have a conversation and a glass of wine. Like that it is not a typical "bar" ambience. Out of the way location with plenty of parking.

A Stone's Throw

This tasting room is in a quaint old home just outside of downtown sjc. It's got a very rural feeling with the open space and hills behind. You feel as if you were far away from it all (okay, you are right across from the freeway, but it is easy to ignore if you face the other way. Stacy was very friendly and informative about the wines and the other wineries they are associated with in Silverado Canyon. The wines are good. Tasting was 15$ but you can also just get a single glass of some of the wines for 10$. They have no food, but the outdoor area is perfect for little picnics. From the photo album there, the weddings are beautiful. They are just open Friday night and Sat and Sun.
