We should have done this fantastic tour at the beginning of our stay in Saint Petersburg. The fortress is the oldest architectural ensemble of the city and it was really exciting to see these authentic fortifications. We also learned a great deal about the Romanovs, the city history and life in imperial Russia.

We had a wonderful trip to Russia and an amazing tour of St Petersburg in early February before the start of the pandemics. The guide for the 2 day tour (I forgot her name) was the best person to do this job . Personable, friendly and informative. She took us to the museums and palaces as well as to nice places for lunch. I was amazed by the Russian churches I have never seen that much gold in any other place. Thanks to the guide and the driver it was possible to see so much more than we could have seen on our own even in a week. BTW traveling in February was not as cold as I imagined. I would recommend this tour to anyone.

Our time spent was very efficient as his driver could get us dropped off Right at the entrance to various places. Andrey was very knowledgable in the history and culture of the various sites in St. Petersburg. He had in-depth knowledge of the artwork that we saw as well as the architecture. We will try multiple types of dishes in 3 different locations: a trendy Central market, a hidden monastery canteen and a non-obvious "dumplings-boutique" (at least they call it like that). It's not only about tasting, it's also about stories. We will explain what are the regions from which the particular dish is coming and why it's important for our culture, we will explain the tricks of cooking or producing it and tell you the stories related to the dish. VEGETARIANS are welcome as well. If you are a vegetarian, a vegan or you are allergic to anything, just tell us, we have the options prepared up our sleeve, like vareniki instead of pelmeni, pickles instead of cheese and blini instead of oladyi. Oh, so many new words! And oh, so many new tastes:)
