Today I hosted a trip to Ipswich for our Holland Park Probus Club. We had 37 members and guests on board the bus. The day started with a delicious morning tea at the Information Centre where we were seated on the cool verandah. Then two lovely ladies, Rhonda and Sandra boarded the bus to guide us around the many historic and interesting homes and buildings. Their knowledge of their city combined with their obvious love of its historical attractions was top class. Lunch was also delicious and much appreciated by all at the Royal Albert Hotel. Thanks also to Vanida from the Information Centre who was very helpful and sweet. All Club members voted this a wonderful outing at such a reasonable price. Congratulations Ipswich.

Tamborine Mountain Visitor Information Centre

It was our first time in Brisbane and we called at Mount Tamborine on a recommendation for the views mainly. We had no idea it was such a big place. We called into the Visitors Centre when we arrived and Danny helped us. He gave us a map and marked out the best walks, best activities for children and the best places for views. He was so helpful and knowledgeable. If you come to Mount Tamborine, you need a full day there at least and call into the Visitors Centre first to get all your tips!

I was dropping off brochures for 'Springtime on the Mountain' which the centre was happy to display, as visitors to Canungra often enquire re things to do/places to see in the Scenic Rim & Tamborine Mountain is a short drive from Canungra. The staff were helpful, friendly and welcoming. They were able to answer my questions.
