Pity for the location and a more glorious past...my rating reflects administrator's attitude.

I recently visited the establishment in one of the most less crowded period of the year. True is that the price was low for this prime location and listed facilities, but this was unfortunately reflecting a drop in the quality of the services offered. E.g. the much acclaimed buffet breakfast was replaced by a "continental" one, a very basic one (no butter or any sweet product for most of the options, etc.); the claimed dinner at 7 euro (as per booking site) is misleading as included only the main dish (well, yes, also the side dish and a salad). Some details of our room were at least strange: no side bed lamps - the ones supposed to function as such were located meters away - possibly due to a relatively new installed heating device (good in itself) while the original heat radiator in the bathroom was constantly ice cold...To reflect the true truth, some of the vila's facilities were operating (like the so-called "jacuzzi" with a hot, nice water temperature but lacking a decent water jet pressure...). All in all, our stay there would have been just acceptable and in direct relation with the paid price. Let's say an honest 3 out of 5 rating. One should take into account that Sovata is a very nice resort and not particularly cheap (specially by local norms). But (yes, there is a "but"), now let me get to the lowest point of my review: the administrator/ owner's attitude. In constant war with his past (assuming unruly) guests and his own staff. We felt being punished ourselves: he did not hesitate to "explain" us his motivations to replace the buffet breakfast with the very poor "continental" one (no, it was not even a proper "continental" one by any norms...). Lecture his reactions - always written in caps!!- to some reviews on booking site. He immediately blamed other (unidentified) guests that allegedly removed the bulbs of 2 lamps from our room. A banal request of 1(one) portion of butter and jam to complement our breakfast (I genuinely thought that should have been included...sorry for my greediness) generated during our check-out an entire negative reaction against his own staff that is doing everything to steal food and money from him..., he even mentioned to us that is looking to install an unmanned/ automatic check-in system for his establishment, and consequently to fire most of his staff. All these looked almost anecdotical, but we really felt sorry for his own staff. At the end, we realized that all our interactions with this administrator were mostly around his frustrations. Ad-hoc house rules - to a certain extent abusive and anyhow not at all mentioned elsewhere like on sites like booking, etc.: e.g. interdiction to enter the facility with your own food was displayed on a large board at hotel's entrance instead of a more appropriate welcome greeting message. Talking about rules and regulations: wearing a COVID protective mask was something that our administrator did not seem at all concerned despite the fact that we were very keen in strictly complying with such a basic requirement! As mentioned in the title of my review: really pity as the current unprofessional management does not make any justice and the establishment could have serve much better the touristic needs of this wonderful resort.

Superb! Beautiful house ❤️

The place is just beautiful. The room was amazing, so beautiful and very clean. The entire house is gorgeous with this very special antique vibe. I was so impressed. The bed is enormous, feels like it’s hugging you. I slept like a baby. What a great idea with the window above the hot tube. Very romantic. You have candles in the room and in the bathroom so you can creat a very romantic atmosphere. I really really loved this place. Super friendly and super nice staff. We will definitely come back. I’ve already shared this location with all out friends and family.

Stop for the night - summer of 2021

Reviewed By Tiberiu_Baranyi

Between 2008 and 2014 we used to be gest here foe an entire week - and we were very pleased with the location. So after several years when we needed to pick a spot for the the overnight stop there was no doubt - Tempo is the place. The years passed , but even as per today the location is still very good - with some minor items to be highlighted. Location - Targu Mures - Morii Street ... 15 minutes walking from the city center - so fairly central. Parking on the street in a private lot - but not in the courtyard anymore - that is a restaurant terrace in its entirety. Check-in - check -out - fast and simple , payment by credit card. Room - very good size - air-conditioning working, minibar with some beverages available - not fully loaded but enough. Here and there the furniture showed some wear and tear. Nice comfortable bed , strong Wi-fi signal in the room - free of charge, bathroom clean - nothing to complain about- slightly small. Breakfast - that was the only disappointment - we were used to the buffet these guys were serving , but this summer somehow it was not as expected, very few choices and kind of below the known standard. Prices - pocket friendly and they accept credit card. The restaurant on the premises still very good. Overall a very good stay - not as good as previous ones , but still a place I recommend.

Vila Anna

Very nice stay. Quiet and warm, close to nature.

Very nice stay. The villa is very clean and well kept. They have a lot of fruit trees and flowers in the garden. It's close to the center and lakes, but in a quiet place, close to forest and nature. The rooms look nice, the furniture is new. Has little fridge in the room. The hosts were nice and didn't bother us at all. Some of the rooms have balcony! Good prices for the services! Hope to come again!

Vila Monica promises to deliver the authentic local experience through a warm and thoughtful approach towards each and every guest that chooses to spend a quality time in Tirgu Mures. It is a family business with tradition and throughout the years since its establishment, it has continuously striven to ensure that clients are happy with the services provided. The owners came up with the idea of enhancing the local experience through providing not only quality accommodations, but also a touch of what Tirgu Mures traditionally represents. The business was founded in the first decade after the abolition of the harsh communist regime, baring in mind that, despite the tough political context, the city of Tirgu Mures is a worthy place to visit, being a quiet and safe environment with numerous attractions.

Delusione e sconforto

Reviewed By adulla D

Squallido.
