Best restaurant we went to in Portugal - AMAZING!
Reviewed By traktorslavThis hotel has a restaurant in it and it is fantastic! You can eat outside right next to the old water mill with the sound and view of the water passing under the old stone moss covered bridge. The food, OMG the food! We had Petiscos Baccalhau (3.50€) as a starter which were the best we have had in the last 2 weeks in Portugal (and we have had a lot!). For the main we had grilled octopus and veal in mushroom sauce - both were a slightly different take on the usual traditional food and were absolutely delicious! The starter, 2 mains and dessert (together with the very nice white vinho verde, salad, soft drinks and coffee) it came to a total of 40€ for the two of us. On top of that, the service was excellent! The waiter, the owners’ son, was very nice, attentive and speaks fantastic English. He and kitchen were also very attentive to our dietary needs. All in all, location, service, food, price - all 5*!

Thanks to its distinctive location,it's feet away of monuments ,of a wide pedestrian area with traditional areas of trade and prestigious brands shops,lots of restaurants with an excellent quality,beautiful gardens and access to transports.The area is surrounded by bars and youth.

After staying a couple of days before Christmas 2017, we found it to be simply marvellous and fantastic!!! Casa de Lobos is a Rural tourism accommodation, with category of Country Houses. We are located in Cambeses, Cabeceiras de Basto, between the Cabreira and Marao mountains. Respecting the typical architecture of the region, this house was restored recently and supplemented with four great new build bungalows. For your calm and peaceful, Casa de Lobos, which is less than an hour far from Guimaraes, Braga or Porto, is the perfect destination for a family holidays and for a restful weekend stay. Walking past would be a mstake

History dating back to 16-17th century, in the family since the 18th, a vineyard at late as in the ’70s, and TLC put into it 2015 has made the place full of life and compassion. Everything from first call, to Yvonne’s greeting and guidance to the abundant breakfast served and check-out was a wonderful experience, We left in the morning more envigorated than the morning before! Stop here - even if earler than planned and just enjoy!

A beautiful and peaceful place
Reviewed By Chartwell23_13We stayed at House Mint for a week in the middle of July. This beautiful holiday home is located outside a small village near Fafe. The farm buildings and house have been converted into 5 holiday homes of various sizes. House Mint is a double height apartment with the living room, kitchen and bathroom on the ground floor and a mezzanine bedroom. The apartment has been constructed from high quality materials and is beautifully equipped including towelling robes, toiletries and pool towels. The swimming pool is just across the grass and comes with very comfortable waterproof bean bags, great for total relaxation. The porch outside the apartment is in the shade from midday, ideal for those who want a break from the sun. We were surprised to find that the apartment had maid service. Daniela, who welcomed us to the property, came in daily to make the bed and clean the apartment. She was so friendly and we loved the days when she left slices of cake and glasses of port for us, such a nice touch. The whole complex is beautifully maintained with a fountain and pond in the courtyard creating a lovely ambiance when you walk through from the shaded parking area. There are views over the surrounding countryside and the local town of Fafe is well supplied with good supermarkets for easy shopping. We had a great day out including a river trip in Porto , about an hour away by car and we also enjoyed visiting Guimarães with its stunning castle. This was one of the best holiday apartments we have ever rented and we loved it.

Several places, 1 Studio, 1 suite with 2 rooms and 2 suite with 1 room, all with independent entrance door; a stone swimming pool with 8mx4m a 3 small pools for kids. All the places with kitchenette, refrigerator, microwave and high speed wifi.

Reviewed By James BIt will do, and they are very friendly. Clean and adequate, but dated. I can tell that they are renovating gradually. Breakfast OK, but they could do better than orange-flavored koolaid. Good location for train station and old town.

Reviewed By sabrinasW9747LGTive a grande desilusão de estar neste lugar, a parte de eventos está uma miúda a frente das responsabilidades com total falta de capacidade em gerir situações, São grosseiros, petulantes e preconceituosos, não recomendo a ninguém, há muitos sítios com melhores preços e qualidade ao redor. Além da localização que é horrível.
