It was our first time on a coffee farm and one of our first times on horses. From meeting in the morning we felt immediately comfortable with the guide, Celia, and the other guests. The first few moments on the horses took a little getting used to but the guides were very aware of everyone and quick to step in with a calming hand or words. The farm is absolutely beautiful and this was an amazing way to see it, from down by the waterfall all the way up to ‘the big tree’. Can’t recommend this tour or coffee farm more highly! If you don’t want to ride horses just coming for a walking tour or tasting will definitely be worth it. Thank you to Celia and all the others who made for a wonderful day!

Your private driver will meet you at the airport or your hotel and escort you to your first destination. He describes the culture and the country and shares little known facts on the way. An example of just one of our tours: You arrive to the river where your guide meets you to go over safety rules and make sure you are comfortable and ready for your experience. You start your adventure down the class III and IV rapids with an experienced guide who demonstrates his skills navigating down the river. Hold on, smile and enjoy!! You will stop midway on the river shore for a unique lunch Pacuare river style! After lunch you continue down the river where you meet indigenous families and see native wildlife. I went rafting with Jonathan in my recent visit to Costa Rica ..... and that was probably the best experience I had in a very long time . Jonathan made it special and fun for all of us but always prioritising safety ( we had a child with us ). It was my first go at rafting but it won’t be the last !! I will be go back and I will want to try a more challenging river ????. I would definitely recommend Jonathan and his services. Pura Vida

The river where we do the tour is pretty much for families with children over 8 years old. This river does not solely exist of rapids, in between the white-water sections are more quiet parts where your guide will encourage you to jump out of the boat and go for a little swim. This is perfectly safe and adds to the fun on the water. Why should you come with Explornatura? Safety First you are safe and then you will have fun, all our guides are certified on Swift Water Rescue, First Aid and CPR. Your safety kayaker is just focus on your safety; we have a separate kayaker taking pictures of your trip. Our guides Safety oriented, knowledge about nature and the river, great story tellers and very fun to hang out with them. Food Variety of fresh, healthy and tasty products for any diet. By far the best river lunch you can have.

There were some logistical issues for the trip I booked on Friday. This was beyond Manford’s (owner/operator) control, so we pushed it to Saturday. The food served before and after the rafting excursion was excellent and fresh. We had a flat tire on the way to the staging area , but that ended up working out because the river gets bigger the longer you wait to cast off. I plan on going again.

I went with my two teenager sons. We all loved the experience. The landscapes are awesome - among the most beautiful ones I've seen. It's a combination of New Zealand rivers and Amazonian forest. It's definitively worth visiting.
