The Captain is a unique kiwi with a friendly and helpful disposition. Over the years I have been referred to as Captain Lozza and it’s stuck. I have been fishing these waters for the past 20 years in a variety of vessels and I am very familiar with the Hauraki Gulf which makes the sightseeing option one that won't leave clients disappointed. I have been lucky to have learnt from the best, he has vast experience as a commercial and recreational fisher in the Hauraki and especially the Coromandel region. As is the case with most traditional hunting disciplines, the Master passes on his skills and knowledge to the apprentice. I was the apprentice for many years, also learning from other great anglers and after completing my SRL Skippers ticket last year I have graduated to Master. I know a lot about fishing and guarantee to show you a good time and will do my best to assist you in landing the big one! Let me customise your experience to ignite your fishing or sightseeing pleasure!

We were on a shared charter on Hooked up! Captain Laurie was well organised and helped my young son (9) on the boat and catch fish! We both had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed our day fishing with plenty of fish to take home.

I booked a trip scheduled 2nd April, the company notified me that due Covid 19 pandemic the tour would be cancelled. I was offered options of a refund or get credits. I chose refund as I was not gonna get any other time which they concurred. After 2 weeks I was contacted by one rude Eva Lawrence who stayed that the business was not doing well due to the pandemic hence they would not refund back the money?! So is that how you treat your customers? Was it my fault that you cancelled the trip due to the pandemic??! I need a refund ASAP. [email protected] +61450753569

Our experienced guides have a wealth of information about the local flora, fauna, history and culture of the northern Coromandel. This is the rugged remote wild side of the Coromandel peninsula that many of the visitors miss out on as the gravel roads up north get hard to travel on. We keep our group sizes relatively small and use a 4WD to access the tricky roads up north.

We were expertly guided by Brad around the wild and remote Coromandel coastline from Opito Bay to Matapaua Bay. As a virtual novice it really showed me the true colours of Sea Kayaking in New Zealand waters; being able to see and land in places others on foot or in a boat can't reach and to hear about the great history of the area. From the time of the Polynesians to the European settlers and the 2nd World War. On the homeward stretch it was play time. We were greeted by a pod of 40 or so dolphins arching out of the water in turn giving us an amazing display of their athleticism and fearlessness as we sat close by in awe. Thank you Brad and Keith for giving me and my husband a true New Zealand experience. Those unused to being on the sea in kayaks remember to tie on your hat and sunglasses so that you are well prepared.

In the Coromandel for a healing weekend following some stress back in Auckland, we found Boom's website and booked a half day cruise. I have long maintained that you don't really get to know a place until you've seen it from the water. So I try and book something like this every time we visit somewhere coastal. Out of the two of us, my wife is the non-sailor and sometimes feels like she gets dragged along on these excursions. WELL, not this time. Kirstine maintains this is the most fun activity she can recall in years, and we both would highly recommend it for sailors and non-sailors alike. It makes such a difference when you're dealing with people who love what they do, and this perfectly describes Mat and his crew Sam - our every need was looked after without them being "in our face." The boat is large, fast, and comfortable and we were given the option to help sail or be completely "hands off." We had a great time snorkelling at Cathedral Cove, and Mat was a veritable mine of information about the fascinating history of the surrounding bays. Can't thank these guys enough for a superb afternoon and we will absolutely be back. Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting the Coromandel.

I visited the zip line with family. It was my second time and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience again. It is a very professionally run tour. Our guides, Brit and Rae were both very able and warm and friendly with all of the tourists. It is a well run operation. Safety is paramount. The train ride up to the first zip line is a fun way to start, and to see how Barry Brickell started his dream. The zip lines are varying in length and height and loads of fun for all ages.
