I prefer trying out the local cuisine where ever I go and Absolute Demazong is very good for that. They also have Indian stuff, Continental etc but I loved their Bhutanese Mini Meal and my favourite dish was Pork in goat cheese gravy...it was yummy and tfor those who don't eat pork, the dish is available in chicken too.Thanks for your review Jharna. The best & authentic Indian food available in Gangtok. The kebabs, curries are as good as, if not better than any five star restaurant in Delhi. Found out that their chefs have been trained at various famous North Indian restaurants in Delhi, Ludhiana, etc. We also tried some chinese, which was also very similar to what we have had at Mainland China. The chefs are very innovative & offer various items out of the menu & go all the way to please the customer. Located at Jewel of the East hotel, just at the end of M.G.Road, this makes it very convenient.Dear Sir,Thank you very much for the feedback . My local guardian, my hangout forever.. The transparent window glasses that magnified the view of the town called Gangtok, with hot crispy dried cried pork being served with chilled aluminium cans of red and green!! Spoilt more with their fresh fries and amazing wings...the place is blessed with amazing owners ready for making u feel at home..the music!! That's the stress..awesome bands over at the weekends and a refreshing menu changing with time.. Gotta visit to make u understand what I mean.. #YOLO sikkim thank u..the view with those puffy eyes makes clouds come alive:)Dear Akivito C , Thank you so much for sharing your experience. The prices were attractive. Momos both chicken and pork, were sumptious.The soup that went with it was herb-flavoured and tasty. Music was great and the staff... very polite. We did not have any drinks but the prices were good. Very good location .Just the right place to have a light lunch after your shopping.Thank you so much for your kind review ma'am! :)

we had lunch at this restaurant. our order was for chicken thukpa and nepali chicken curry with steam rice. the thukpa had just the right kind of flavour, no overbearing taste of black pepper or spices which is a common thing at many eateries. however it was low on salt. steam rice and curry was just like home cooked food with balanced spices while the rice was boiled to perfection. do try their sweet/salty lime soda.Thank you Rudra :)

We went here because TripAdvisor suggested and we were not dissapointed. the restaurant is part of Hotel Tibet, has seating for about 30 well laid tables and ambience. We consulted the server for choices and he was helpful in suggesting, we order for rice and Pork soupy dish and was mind blowing, couldnt have enough of the preparations. my wife ordered for veg jalfrazi and paratha, which was good too. must visit if you want to explore tibetian cuisine. best thing, the drinks rate as same as other hotel, but their peg is 50 ml instead of 30 elsewhere. Cheers!!

One cannot miss the unique facade of this restaurant as soon as one enters MG road. Food is very good. Meat choices include all options of red and white meats. Ambiance and service is also very good.If you are looking for a long evening session select a veranda seat. Bar is very reasonable. So good place to spend couple of hours.Highly recommended.

This place is busy ... managed to get in on our third attempt. The service is excellent - but the food was underwhelming. Not sure what the buzz is about. They also had ran out of chicken early into the evening dining rush.
