Yukon is a city in Canadian County, Oklahoma, United States. It is part of the Oklahoma City Metropolitan Area. The population was 22,709 at the 2010 census. Founded in the 1890s, the town was named in reference to a gold rush in Yukon Territory, Canada, at the time. Historically, Yukon served as an urban center for area farmers and the site of a large milling operation. It is now considered primarily a bedroom community for people who work in Oklahoma City.

Express Clydesdales

We went expecting to see or learn a lot. Neither happened.

Only 6 horses total where here - 4 in stalls and 2 outside. That is it! The rest of them were traveling and on the road somewhere.

There is 1 barn to go in and it has a gift shop selling mostly T-shirts. The barn has a cement floor so you don't have to worry about your shoes getting muddy.

The stall doors have an open area for the horses to stick their head out and you can pet them. The stalls say their names. We saw Nitro and Parker. Bart and Big Jack were in their stalls but wouldn't come to the door.

It would have been nice to have displays or signs on the history of this horse breed or the farm, etc. Or even better would be an employee whose job was to greet visitors and to tell you more information, answer questions, etc. We saw 2 employees - one was scooping out a stall and the other was washing a horse - neither one say anything to us.

City of Yukon, Oklahoma

I recently relocated to Yukon from Colorado. Yukon is a great change of pace from the hottest real estate and job market! Yukon is a great little incubator and has a bright future.

Yukon has several secret weapons. There is a large friendly police and fire services group, as well as a great mix of retail, restaurants, shops, and a home town feel that is experiencing strong growth while keeping the home town feel.

I have found the people to be incredibly friendly and warm, willing to help you out in any way they can. Yukon is 15-20 minutes from the airport, 25 from downtown, and yet captures that sleepy little town feel.

There is a variety of neighborhood events and traditions that make living here fun and a little different each week.

Max's Magic Theatre

Max's Magic Theatre - Where Impossible Happens! Max's Magic Theatre presents comedy, magic and mentalism performed by Max Krause and special guests select day and weekend evenings.

Reviewed By Megan H - Albuquerque, New Mexico

When you see Max's Magic Theater, you might decide to skip the performance and just go home. After all, Max's Magic Theater is squeezed between the Monte Vista Fire Station and Two Fools Tavern. The outside appearance hardly inspires confidence. Most signs say, "Lilly Barrack Jewelry." Patrons check in inside a tiny magic shop. The theater itself, while functional, is hardly impressive. Music is provided by a boom box sitting on a chair and the magician himself controls the lights. Since this little show is hidden away and poorly advertised, you might be one of only a handful of patrons in attendance. Don't lose confidence! Tony Comito is a delight.

Tony Comito is a seasoned performer and it shows. He begins the magic show by telling the story of how, as a young boy from Des Moines, Iowa, he traveled on a "magic bus" to see a show. He describes getting lost, connecting with an accomplished magician and his ensuing life of travel and adventure. As Mr. Comito tells his life story, he integrates a number of magic tricks-- many of which rely on sleight of hand.

There are no explosions, beautiful assistants or animals in Mr. Comito's show. The tricks are familiar and rely on rings, cards and cups. While you may have seen the tricks before, the real magic comes from the intimate setting. When patrons are two feet away from an unadorned magician, the tricks are all that more impressive. Tony Comito executes every trick flawlessly, involves every audience member and makes sure everybody has a great time.

I love going to wineries. But this one was a bust. They had 3 wines (there would have been 5 but two were sold out) and a taste of a frozen Wine-A-Rita. I had purchased a Groupon and paid $13 for it, and I feel like it was too much for what I received. Yes, I received 2 souvenir glasses, and three tastings. But there was no tour, no description of the wines and the vines, nothing. It was come in, taste, and go.

This outlet mall is just off I-40 west of OKC. It has a number shops including athletic apparel and kids stores. Shops are not really "discounted" from standard retail prices but may offer some "outlet only" items. We've found the best deals are at atheltic shops such as Asics and Reebok. Ample parking including spaces with charging stations for electric cars. Restrooms are spacious and well maintained. Food court was a miss -- no name brand eateries here. The food was adequate but nothing more. If you prefer a little substance or quality, grab a bite at any of the surrounding businesses rather than the outlet food court.
