We just spent a lovely afternoon here - 3 kids aged 7,9 and 11 all enjoyed the playground and maze. Then we wandered through the rose garden and around the duck lake. There are BBQs and plenty of beautiful big old trees with ample shade for a lovely picnic

Grand Pacific Drive is a 140km coastal drive, starting just 45 minutes south of Sydney, NSW, Australia in the beautiful Royal National Park. We went on the Grand Pacific Drive (GPD) with high expectations having previously driven on the Great Ocean Road and the Tasmania East Coast drive. I found the GPD enjoyable however it is much shorter and not as grand as the other drives with less views and attractions along the way. The views from Bald Hill lookout was amazing though and was like post card like. Seacliff bridge was also amazing from a distance.

A great ride with spectacular scenery to enjoy along the way. Go as early as possible to minimise the number of non cyclists on the track as it is very popular, particularly on the weekend.
If you only want to ride one way or go further than Wollongong I recommend catching the train to Thirroul and riding back (or vice versa).

Purposely came here to visit as it one ot the Biggest Chinee Temple in Australia. Very nice place to walk as the garden is big. Will come back next time.

I was driven here by my family. Many memories of this great lighthouse, and the North and South Beaches. The views out to sea wonderful as always and especially on a beautiful day. We drove along the coastal strip and I also noted where I used to live in Kembla St. Things have changed a bit! But still the same old Wollongong, where I was born.

We have been here a fair few times. There are different Things for kids to do and good to run around but it doesn't seem that the exhibits change. Planetarium is variable - some shows great and some very boring. Glad we have something like this in Wollongong for the kids but would be nice to mix it up a bit more.

It's really something different.
All most all the beach ,we visited have the same shot of view. BUT wattamolla have some things in bonus.
I side is Laguna with the cliff and other side have the Beach.
But make sure,take some food, there is no food outlets.

I was born, bred & went to school in Port Kembla, so might be a little biased. Port beach has always had reputation of being one of the best & cleanest Beaches in New South Wales. Then there is also the great beach fishing, Surfing & at the carpark end of the there is also public pool.
The only thing missing from my younger days are the sandhills. They are now covered in vegetation to stop erosion.
One little know fact is that alot of the sand from this beach was shipped over to Waikiki in Hawaii.

This is a great beach with good views and a nice place for a swim! There is also a saltwater swimming pool. This is good for families if you would like to have a picnic, a BBQ (BBQs are available), or if you would like to play soccer. This is a nice place to ride your bike along, and there is fish and chips nearby.

We visited Motorlife Museum with a group of 24 people. Morning tea was available and we were fascinated by the collection of vintage and veteran motor vehicles, as well as a collection of household items including gramophones, typewriters and telephones.
Extremely interesting and well worth a visit. A must see.
