We make Meads with such natural ingredients as Wild Rocky Mountain Huckleberries,other Colorado fruit organic lemons and spices such as whole cloves and saffron. We have already won 2 International awards with our meads! Our Private Meadery Tours are by appointment only. We have a maximum capacity of 18 people for the Tours. During the Tour if the weather permits, you can actually go out back and see some working beehives. We do not sell our honey, but we do give tastes if you ask. We have a passion for "the oldest known alcoholic beverage" that we like to share with others!

When visiting Denver, we wanted to explore the outdoors, get fresh air, and do some walking/hiking and thought this sculpture garden would be a perfect way to start! It is #1 on Tripadvisor for Loveland.
We were a bit disappointed by how small the park is. We printed a map first which showed lots and lots of sculptures but when we got there they didn’t line up with the map.
We saw a good variety of sculptures – some we liked and some we found just a bit strange. The best part of our walk was watching birds quarrel in a tree and squirrels playing tag near by. Which does make me wonder how this park got such a top rating in tripadvisor?

I had heard of this man’s collection of some old and more recent washing machines, and expected to see 50 or so in a small storage building. I was astounded when I walked into a large building housing Lee Maxwell’s collection of 1400 washing machines of every age and description. What began 30 years ago as a hobby after retiring from his faculty position at Colorado State University has grown into what could be the world’s largest washing machine collection. He has strange looking hand-operated wooden devices, early motor-driven rotating designs and modern electronically controlled machines. Maxwell gives a very interesting narrated chronological walking tour through his treasures. His extensive historical research of these machanical and their manufacturers is impressive. Equally impressive is his shop where he does mechanical and electrical repairs that bring well worn work horses back to life. Maxwell has acquired washing machines from all over the US and some from other countries. This museum shows how technology has changed the way we wash our clothes.

A year or two ago I'd picked up a brochure on this museum and decided I wanted to see it on my next trip to Colorado. I went yesterday, 9/16/17, driving up from the Denver area.
It was well worth the drive.
Some 5,500 square feet, it features the best of model railroading. The layout is fantastic: huge mountains, rivers, bridges, towering trestles, neat little communities, cities, and industrial areas. The modelling work is simply first rate, and I believe it's all done by amateur volunteers ... but the work is more than professional quality.
There are trains constantly running, by members of the museum, who are super friendly and willing to answer any and all questions. And the trains travel through the entire layout. There was one with orange chemical cars that looked to be nearly 200 cars long with several engines pulling it, through huge curves and up and down mountains. And that was just one of, oh, probably 8 or 9 trains being run on the tracks at the same time.
The main level is 48-inches off the floor (but there are platforms and stools to stand on for shorter folks and kids) and the tops of the mountains are about 98-inches high. And you walk on the main level and upper level to get great views of the entire layout.
And the entire layout is super-detailed ... with small touches most don't see, but which add greatly to the realism and enjoyment of the layout.
There is a small gift shop with some toys and trinkets for sale, as well as some videos.
And there is a fully restored caboose which you can walk through to see how the conductors lived and worked.
Admission is $10 with discounts for seniors and children.
We went through fairly quickly, in just over an hour, but you could easily spend days here and see something different, and wonderful, on every visit.
I will be back!

Tour guide Scott took us on an excellent tour of the brewery. The facility is excellent, clean, and well laid out. Recommend it highly. Parking is on the street at this time.

While I did not try concessions here (food), we did rent paddle boards, a canoe, and a kayak. This is a great value. The lake isn't a clear mountain lake, but there is a decent small beach. We visited 2 hot summer days, and it was good overall. I would rate it 3.5 if I could, but since it is free and the rentals were very reasonably priced, I was willing to rate it 4/5.

This is a staple hike at our home. It is beautiful year round. There is a hike for everyone. The trails are well maintained and the main attraction (the keyhole with sweeping views of the Front Range) are accessible within the first 1-1.5 miles of the hike. There are three loops for those who want a longer jaunt. When our kids were small we would only do the first loop with the views. Now that they are tweens we do the second and third loops. Please note that the keyhole is sometimes closed in the spring for nesting critters.

Wow...imagine if Wal-Mart and the NRA had a child...this would be it. Largest retail pistols and revolvers selection I've been to, certainly in Colorado. Spent almost 5 hrs. here.
