Our first visit here. FYI only draw string bags no back pack/book bags they will confiscate.( you do get them back) NO glow sticks, they confiscate, and you are waiting while they descide.( you don't get them back)
I love michigan and generally the people of michigan but for the most part the young people at this venue were rude and Obnoxious and a couple were totally out of hand.. I realize this is a medical marajuania state and there were alot of people needing medication there. If you get there early and are near the sidewalk for the lawn seats, be aware they ALLOW people to stand at the railing and on the sidewalk.That is where people "smoke" as told to us by personnel. So they are going to stand in your way. Which doesn't really matter because everyone stands any way.They also stand on the paved walk way, making it almost impossible to go any where, and also seems to be a fire hazard.Egressing out of there is a total nightmare.We saw 2 sets of stairs that all must go down. you should use the out side of the stair case as the inside gets backed up because some people try to walk down the hill and are blocked by a fence and trees and evidentually have to climb over the rail and egress out through the stairs, backing the people trying to come down the stairs.They need more ways to get in and out of the venue. Even though lines were long at the bathroom the lines seemed to move quickly, getting there however was a challange because of there rule that practally every thing goes, when it comes to standing.AND use the bathroom before you attempt to make it back to the parking lot and your car. The traffice lines are terribly long trying to get out,as you would expect and they will NOT let you back in to go to the bathroom and there are NO pit toilets out side the gate.We were basically told to pee in the parking lot.As I have been to other outside venues, I will choose another venue next time.

we frequented this lovely upscale mall when lived in the area x 2 yrs. huge outlet mall w/ excellent laid out shops and wide selection for whole family, a gift for S Michigan. also get lots of exercise walking aroundThank you for your comments!

I've been going to this waterpark for years, and it has not changed at all. In this circumstance though, that's not always a good thing. Let's talk about the positives...
-nice water temperature
-reasonable prices
-nice amount of tubes
-surprisingly reasonable food costs
-friendly and well trained lifeguards and staff
-wave pool is super fun!
Negatives
-locker rooms are dirty and outdated. Smells strongly of warm urine
-slide maintenance doesn't seem up to date. Lots of algae on slide stairs and rust on piping
-lack of attractions. There's really just a wave pool and a slide. There should be another slide to offset the crowds on the one waterside. I waited over 30 minutes to ride the slide, and the park wasn't even at capacity.
-the bridge with the carpet is disgusting and moldy. Also some of the paths are coated with sharp things from the nearby pine trees.
I really do love this park. I just think it needs some updates to really put it to the top.

Great trails for hiking. Bike paths. Fun kid areas. The nature center is small, but interesting. The event area is such a beautiful indoor/outdoor mix. I would get married here. Easy to borrow backpacks for hiking adventures. Very close to downtown Clarkston.

We were a 4some on a 3 day Stay and Play visit. Shepards Hollow is a good course but a bit dangerous with lots of blind fairway shots were you cant see the 4some in front.
There were about 4 4somes in front of us in some sort of extended family event with some new golfers that should have played best ball rather than stroke play.
We came up on the 4 some in front of us (again) on the 13 hole. 1 cart was into the fairway and ready for their second shot but the other cart was still at the tee box. 1 of the players in that card was FISHING!!! In the lake adjacent to the tee!
In 40 years of playing, I have never seen that lack of golf etiquette. We called the proshop and complained, but absolutely no response from the Marshall.
Will not return.

I live on Pontiac Lake and have for a number of years, but I have never been to the Rec Area until this past summer. From the lake the beach looks very nice. I went to the Rec Area for the bike trail. An experienced mountain biker friend took me here for my first ride. The trail was very challenging and definitely not for novice riders (I went over the handle bars once). Still, I'd ride the trail again.

Saw Bruno Mars here with a group of friends. The acoustics in this place are awesome, and there really doesn't seem to be a bad seat in the house!
My only issue with this spot is the enormous and overwhelming traffic jam in and out of this place at the beginning and end, as it seems that they still haven't yet added additional entrances to alleviate the congestion through the main entrance way.
Otherwise, love the venue and will definitely be back.

I decided to visit this aquarium despite the complaints that it was small and overpriced. Overall, my children and I enjoyed the whole experience (to include Rainforest Cafe and Lego Land) and found it to be worth the 1.5 hr drive and price. We visited during spring break so it got painfully crowded BUT it was nice and empty for the first hour around 9 am (when it opened). We give this a thumbs up for occasional visits but would never consider it worthy of a season pass.
About the price- For a little over $100, I purchased the Lego Discovery Center/ Aquarium combo pack for 1 adult and 3 children. The total also included 3 Sea Life Ranger Mission Packs at $5 each.
For those who are considering the Mission packs, I have mixed feelings. The pack contains, a booklet to collect 9 embossed stamps at various stations throughout, a magnifying card, a mini pencil, tear-away collector cards and reading material all stuffed into a case on a lanyard. Upon receiving their little kits, the kids were informed that they would receive a prize from the gift shop if they collected all of the stamps. Unfortunately, the prize became the focus of our visit, the kids rushed through the exhibits to go to the next stamping station. The prize was a cheap medal and in case you are wondering, the cashier did not examine the booklets for the stamps. After we received our prizes, we (I) decided to walk through the exhibit again but it was very crowded by this point. We spent approximately 2 hours there then moved onto the Lego exhibit.
